A big day heading south to Wollongong and the Illawarra Escarpment (5am-7pm).
Locations include Budderoo NP (110), Minnamurra rainforest (103), Bass Point (166), Hooka Point (167), Wollongong Botanic Gardens (145). The numbers in brackets refer to the number of different species which have been recorded at each site.
Birds include Eastern Bristlebird, Eastern Ground Parrot, Gang-Gang Cockatoo, Beautiful Firetail, parrots, pardalotes, thornbills, cormorants, eagles, honeyeaters and many, many more.
Expect to see/hear 80+species.
Meet at a set location, pick-ups on request.
Binoculars, bird book, bird apps supplied.
What to bring
Bring hat, sunscreen, sturdy shoes, water, snacks and lunch.
