Explore the beautiful Capertee Valley, 3 hours from Sydney. The valley is the world’s second largest canyon and World Heritage listed. Excellent habitats and home to the critically endangered Regent Honeyeater. The two days takes us first to Lake Wallace to see Musk, Blue-billed Ducks and Great Crested Grebe and then into the Capertee, following the designated bird route. Habitats include giant eucalypt forests, creeks and bush. See bird species rarely seen in Sydney such as Southern Whiteface, Double-barred Finch, Plum-headed Finch, Brown Falcon, a range of honeyeaters, Weebill, Babbler, White-winged Chough, Hooded Robin, Diamond Firetail, Restless Flycatcher, Striped Honeyeater and Speckled Warbler.
Expect to see 80-100 species of birds.
