          Bell Miner (Manorina melanophrys)

Bell Miner (Manorina melanophrys) can be found throughout Warriewood Wetlands. A new colony formed about 10 years ago and has spread. Although native, this bird is an aggressive species and pushes other birds out of the area. They are also known to strip the buds off the eucalyptus trees which in turn die. A pretty bird but highly invasive.
